A new race in 2010. An ideal warm-up race for the 2011 GNW Half Marathon. 2011 event is now more or less full.

A 5k flat course around the park accessible for all age groups and levels of ability. Registration closes 30 mins before start time

11.00am		New Year Relay, The Knavesmire, York (Tadcaster Road end, Hamilton Panthers FC Pavilion)
An informal event suitable for all ages and standards. Enter on the day by 10.45. Entry fee 50p per runner.
Teams of 3 running 1.5 miles, 3 miles, 3 miles. Teams can enter together or individuals can be made into teams on the day. On grass, suitable for spikes.
3 minutes starts given for a team with a female or a man over 50 or a boy under 12 (as at 31/8/10) or considered for a boy under 14 running a long stage.
6 minutes start given for teams with 2 of these people
Also Primary age (i.e year 6 and younger) run, just under 1 mile, at 10.45, enter by 10.30

A series of Cross Country races open to all ages and abilities. Senior event will be run in packs. First race 12 noon, U17 and senior races not before 1.10pm.
Min age U11 9 on the day, other ages at 1/9/10. All over 17 run in senior race
Categories (distances approx): U/11 B&G, 1500m; U/13 B&G, 2300m; U/15 B&G, 3000m; U17 M&W, 4000m; Senior Men and Ladies 8000m
