From the organisers on 4/12/10 - ""The alternative route is currently clear, although with wet surfaces following the rain. Temperature on the route was 4degC at 3.15pm. Local weather forecasts are confusing with a range of overnight temperatures from -1 to +1 so there is a chance that the wet surfaces will become icy in places. There will be a course inspection some time after 8am on Sunday and we hope to continue with the race. The alternative route was Garmin measured on a bicycle this morning at 9.99miles!"

From the organisers on 23/12/10 In the interests of health and safety, the Severn Loop 5k that was scheduled for Monday 27th December in the Quarry Park, Shrewsbury has been postponed. A new date of Sunday 13th February 2011 has now been confirmed and the deadline for pre-entries is now extended until Monday 7th February 2011.
5km road race within the traffic free confines of the famous Quarry Park which follows the natural meander of the River Severn through Shrewsbury.
